Standing Room Only joined voices in the Spring of 1990. Their first public performance was in April, 1991 when a Phoenix DJ contacted all 4 members and had them sing over the phone, on the air in celebration of Barbershop Harmony Week.
In their first contest later that month, the quartet won first place honors in the Az./So. Nev. Division.
All members of SRO have received the Barbershopper Of The Year award from their chapters. Standing Room Only is the 1992 Far Western District Quartet Champions, and have won the "3rd Place Bronze Medal" at the International Quartet Contest held in Indianapolis. They have enjoyed similar aspects of Barbershopping, coaching, directing and giving of themselves to their chapters. Additionally, they share a common love for Barbershopping and each other and hope that friendship will continue until they can't stand each other anymore.
