Capitol Ring is an exciting quartet that took the Barbershop Harmony’s NorCal East Division by storm in 2017. In their first quartet competition—after just three rehearsals—Capitol Ring scored the second highest qualifying score for the Far Western District fall competition. They followed that up the following year and were crowned the 2018 Far Western District champions. They recently qualified for and competed in the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Quartet Contest, placing among the top 40 quartets in the world. The members of this Sacramento / Las Vegas / Reno-based quartet have over 85 years of combined barbershop experience and the group features a father-son duo on lead and tenor. They have all have sung in numerous award-winning quartets and choruses and, despite the mountain pass that separates Mike from Dallas and Larry, and the high desert between Kevin and the other three, they knew, after singing just a few chords together, they had something very special.
